Not Just Talking the Talk!
It really isn’t difficult to see why Nicole Evasius is one of South Florida’s most successful residential real estate stories, because you simply cannot help but feel inspired and motivated by her fabulous personality and her simple “can do” attitude.
“My mother came out of a bad marriage and went on to establish an incredible business; this taught me very early on life that you can achieve anything that you set your mind too”.
Having gained a 4 year bachelors degree with a major in Real Estate from Florida Atlantic University and armed with her Florida Real Estate License, Nicole spent the next eight years learning and developing her trade in new home sales, site sales and sales management, before five years ago, at the age of twenty eight, she gained her brokers license and started The New Home Team, Inc. and now manages Realty Today,Inc..
Specializing in neighborhoods from Fort Lauderdale to Vero Beach, Nicole now personally closes around 60 home sales each year, somewhat less than her record year, when she closed over 250 homes, although that was inevitable because of the time and effort she puts into helping her agents achieve their goals and objectives these days.
Nicole does not believe in bad markets, but prefers to see the changes as new and varied opportunities “I am always telling agents not to believe what they read in the papers, focus on the good things”. “A couple of months ago I decided I should prove my argument and undertake a one month experiment with a new agent to see what could be achieved for that agent with a basic marketing budget of $1500 and little else except hard work and commitment, the results were as she expected – 5 closed contracts”!
Nicole has an office in Royal Palm Beach and another in Port St Lucie and keeps her office numbers to around fifty agents. “I think it is very important that I can provide them all quality time and advice and from a liability point of view I think fifty is the right number for me”. Asked what makes her company unique she says “we are not a franchise, there is no red tape, we try and make everything easy in a traditional style and I am always approachable. From time to time we have had agents leave, joining up with the latest franchise that promises the world, but three out of every four that go return within one year”!
“I truly believe the secret is to educate and promote yourself, be proud of what you do - put your name tag on and build relationships every day. I market consistently through both traditional and new mediums and I try to be innovative whenever possible, on Valentines Day we gave out cookies at the drive-thru developing leads that we would never have normally received”.
When asked what she believes is the biggest challenge facing Realtors today, she has a one word answer, “Themselves! The key to success is mind set, if you focus only on positive thoughts, a can do attitude and success then that is what you will achieve”. Nicole enjoys the real estate industry and loves nothing more than helping a client into a dream property. As her business continues to flourish Nicole intends to stream line her efforts and develop more time for coaching, “I truly enjoy seeing my agents develop and feel great pride in their victories” “We are a great team and I like to organize Agent appreciation nights at, for example the dog track, where we really have a blast and get to know each other outside of the work environment”.
In her spare time Nicole loves to read and scuba dive and regularly travels to visit family in New England.
